PAINTING

These autopoietic works are rooted in historic botanic textile patterns, graphic design principles, and color abstraction. Begun as large hand-cut paper stencils, each stencil is repeatedly folded and painted upon itself in confounding patterns. The resulting work is both the tool and the object of its own creation.
