Leroy Bach Builds a Poem

2006, Super 8mm.
Leroy Bach building a poem while at the Headlands Center for the Arts
in Marin County, California. I shot the movie while a resident there with Leroy.
After shooting the movie, I wrote this score for for 5-string banjo.
Finally the movie was edited by my wife Gretchen Gnaedinger. She is the best.

For this particular version, with great assistance from Lawrence Fyfe, I wrote a
computer code in ChucK. The score was then re-played (or re-designed) by
computer executing specific compositional instructions. The original piece was
projected and played with 4-part panning at CCRMA, Stanford University.
